We toured Arches National Park the other day. We enjoyed it very much. It had several trails to hike and view the sites. Many of the arches and other feature had names that were on the maps and marketed heavily. But Jen and I wondered why some that seemed as interesting to us as the others were not hyped as much. Moab is a good area to vacation in with many activities available. There were a lot of Jeep enthusiasts and other subcultures seemed represented also but we felt comfortable there and most people were friendly.
Here is our site in Moab again. You can see some Jeeps in the background. About dozen Jeep guys were on some kind of a rally at our campground. They did not get loud or anything and did not bother us.
Here is a shot I took while walking Dixie.
This is a photo some fellow tourists took of us.
Delicate Arch
Jen and I at the top of the Delicate Arch viewing trail.
Balanced Rock. This was a very easy trail to walk around.
Brian and Balanced Rock
I really liked the texture on this dead tree. Jen said it was caused by insects.
This is one of my favorite photos so far.
Skyline Arch
Skyline Arch was cool because we hiked in below this arch and no one else was around. I guess it was a less popular arch but was much easier
to hike to than some of the others.
I forgot what this was called. It was next to the Windows Arches.
This was one of the Windows Arches. We climbed way to the top of this one. Jen took a photo of me on top.
A lizard guy we met.
